Lance Armstrong, who is considered one of the best cyclists of the cycling history, was born in Texas on 8 September and was brought up by his mother. Although at the age of twelve he joined a swimming team, some years later when he won a triathlon he found out the discipline in which he actually highlighted: racing cycling.
In his thirties he won seven consecutive times the Tour de France, so that was the fact that gave him all his fame. In addition, he became more popular for being able to achieve that record after having survived a cancer. This was the reason that led him to set up a cancer charity: Lance Armstrong Foundation, which has been raised up to $50 million.
Nowadays, Armstrong is living in Texas and in Girona, as he’s just retired from cycling. What I most admire about him is his self-improvement aptitude, as well as his capacity for making real all his passions and desires and for being able of achieving his objectives.
