Lance Armstrong
The famous worldwide cyclist Lance Armstrong was born on September the 18th, 1971. Throughout his babyhood his father left the family and her mother had to bring him up alone.
By his early twenties he had become became a professional cyclist, but in 1996 he had a cancer diagnosis. He was given 40% chance of survival, and so he decided to set up cancer charity Lance Armstrong Foundation. Soon aferwards, he recovered from the disease and joined US postal team. In 1999 he won his first of seven consecutive titles in Tour de France competition.
In 2005 he retired from cycling and now he lives in his native Texas and also in Spain. His foundation has raised $50 million since its creation. What I most admire about him is his capacity of self-improvement and his willpower.
