The person I most admire: Deryck Whibley

Deryck Jason Whibley, who was born in Scarborough on 21 March 1980, is a Canadian singer, guitar player and producer. He had a very difficult childhood because he never met his father and he had to be brought up by his mother, who was a teenager back then. Nevertheless, he soon discovered that he was musically gifted.

At the age of thirteen he already had his first band, which was a hip hop trio. Afterwards, he learnt to play the guitar and went through some rock groups until he created Sum 41 in 1999. Deryck and his band played punk/rock worldwide and sold more than three million copies of his first studio album ,“All Killer, No Filler”, back in 2001. He continued with his professional career and, in 2006, he married the pop star Avril Lavigne. He produced her last album, which was very successful and also sold millions of copies.

Nowadays, Deryck keeps playing in Sum 41 and touring all over the world. More over, they have released their sixth studio album this month, which is called “Screaming Bloody Murder”, though he got divorced lately and he went through a serious crisis. I admire Deryck’s musical talent the most, but I also value his determination and how he overcame his problems when he was a child.

Although this disease doctors had given him only a 40% chance to survive, he was convinced he would reach his goal, and thus he set up the Lance Armstrong Foundation in order to help people that were also suffering cancer. Soon afterwards, he recovered part of his health and joined the US postal team, which gave him the opportunity to show his abilities winning the Tour de France for five seven consecutive years.
After such an excellent row of victorious years of victory, he retired from cycling in 2005, and until today his foundation has raised over $50 million. At the present time, he lives in both both in Texas and Girona, Catalonia. Formal letter

Impatient H. A.
Av. tibidabo 45

20 January 2011

Dear sir or madam,

I am writing because of my indignation about a product of your company. And to explain you a strange event that I have lived because of your product.

Everything startsed last Monday when I did a purchase on the Impatient H. A. shopping center of the cataluña square. I bought a t-shirt with an inscrition saying "We love the t-shirt". It Was funny to go with that camisole. But once I washed in the washing machine undergo a little change underwent that I did not percieve. So today, when I was going to my job, a group of students started to laugh, pointing my new t-shirt and calling my -creep creep!- . When I looked at my t-shirt, to my surprise, it had a different phrase where it says "We love the tisher". And now my question is, from whom did you buy the materials?
I strongly recommend to your company to use high quality materials in creating products. Or switch of suppliers.

Yours faithfully,

Christian López Lamelas
