Dear sir or madam,

I am writing because of my signing the petition for ST. George's day. I would like to tell you my point of view to this celebration.

I'm absolutely consider that the England has not enough national festivals to celebrate. Meanwhile the St. George's is definitely english celebration. Our children do not know about national traditions and our culture. I am petitioning the government to make the festival a public holiday, because in my opinion this is the chance to connect the generations and to make our nation more relied.

I would be very grateful if you solved my opinion.Thank you in advance.
Yours faithfully,

A local newspaper wants to publish stories by teenage carers. Imagine you are a teenage carer. Write to the editor with your story. Tell him or her about what you live is like and how you feel about the situation.

It was 2 years ago when my mum has got a terrible car accident. Since then my life has definitely changed.

There are 4 of us in our family. My mum, two younger brothers and I. After the accident my mum is confined to a wheelchair.  I'm a teenager and I used to have normal, regular life, but now I'm looking after the whole family. Also  my younger brothers helps me, but they are only 11 years old. They are need a help too. I do all the housework, take care of  the brothers and facilitate ordinary life of my mother, such as dressing.

At the morning, when we go to the school, we are regular teenagers. But after the school we have another problems and worries. Sometimes I consider that I can be like any teenager and don't take care of whole family. I would worry only about dating and school problems.

After all, I can call myself as happy person. When I see my mum and my brothers smiling I understand that I have the best family in the world. In spite of all facilities that has ordinary teenager life, I would never change mine. Because I really love my family.

WRITING: “WE SHOULD HELP TEENAGE CARERS”
Option 2
There are a lot of adults who help different people, but I have never heard about a phenomenon of teenage carers. When I imagine these teenagers that dedicate their own time to spend with helpless people, it causes me astonishment and admiration at the same time. Personally, I think that we have to do everything possible in our hands to make their life happier.
Firstly, as we can guess, it is not easy to be a care-giver, a fortiori? when you are young. Nowadays, the teenagers prefer to think of whom to go out with or how to pass the exams, which is very comprehensible and respectable. However, some of them choose another life, sacrificing all the pleasures they could have.
Secondly, everybody has right to decide what to do. No one is obliged to look after of anyone, even of the relatives. We should have in mind the fact of helping poor people without asking anything in return. We must be grateful to these teenagers for doing such a big favour for to everybody, especially, for to people who suffer.
To sum up, I think the government should help teenager carers and give them the opportunity to study like everyone else sending live-in nurses. It will be inhumane on our part if we do not try to aid them.

It was a year ago when my mother had a horrible accident. Since then she has always stayed in a wheelchair, so I have to take care of her.

As I am a teenager, I go to school during the day. But when I am at home it is also me who looks after the family, my mother. I do all the housework because she can't move. Moreover, she needs my attention to do many much ordinary stuff, such as dressing up or taking the lift.

I usually feel so unhappy and unfortunate because of the way we live. If only this situation never happened. Sometimes I think I can't be like any teenager and have the same worries they usually have. But then I regret of thinking about it, because my mother feels so bad about me and herself. She would never ask me to do any favour, she encourages me to go out more and tries to cheer me up.

Sometimes I wish this was a dream. But I think it could have been much worse, and I totally appreciate my mother, her constant smile and her hope.

What problems do teenage carers have? How should the government help them?

In our society, there is a considerable percentage of young people who become carers during the adolescence. They must look after a relative with a mental or a physical disease or with some kind of addiction. In this way, in order to deal with this complicated situation, these younger carers must face a lot of problems every day.
Firstly, the routine of a teenager carer is stressful and exhausting. Apart from being at the disposal of a special person, which must be really sad and hard, they also have to deal with their own studies, and sometimes do the housework. As a result, they neither have almost time neither to rest nor for some time-off and also feel quite lonely.
Secondly, many young carers do not receive any support from the government, who should finance all the required help. It is obvious that a teenage cannot afford the same as an adult and they really need counselling and, of course, professional adults who assist them at home.
All in all, teenage carers deal a really difficult life at a too young age. To facilitate them things, they should get governmental economic help to become freer and get over the trauma they live.

TEENAGE CARERS
Nowadays, there are many teenage carers who aren`t able to support their current situation. As time goes by, their mood gets lower owing to the loneliness they feel every day. The responsibility that * taking care of a family member carries* is excessive for a so such a young person.
It’s worrying* the fact that these people will find a lot of difficulties for avoiding to avoid bad psychological troubles during all their life *. Furthermore, a lack of affection and concern coming from that family member can lead them to get depressed. Nevertheless, it’s important that people who notice teenagers with that problem warn charities like Caring for Carers.
The Government ought to give them some aid, providing them of with economical help, guarantying some special services as well. Moreover, teenage carers should be able to do the same as their partners, so they shouldn’t be forced to have more obligations than most teenagers.
To sum up, it would be considerable that anyone who believes s/he needs this type of aid doesn’t try to afford the entire situation by himself. It would be grateful that other people who could realize of that in any of the teenagers that surrounds them notified it to any charity.
